A RARE AND ICONIC ART DECO LAMP SIGNED FRANKART
The Machine Age design by Arthur von Frankenberg (1889-1950) incorporates an upward rising skyscraper motif custard glass shade embossed with rising spires within a stepped outline; the multi-layer platform base is flanked by upward gazing nymphs on either end and retains its original green finish, signed FRANKART in embossed lettering back side. The manufacturers' catalog number for this model is L233. The shade color is rare, no other examples at auction could be found.
