A rare and interesting Khula-Khud

dating: 18th Century provenance: Turkey, Rare transit shape from a turban-shaped helmet to a classic Khula-khud. Iron skull, peak with a short tip of square section on a small, beamed dome, the base slightly enlarged, with narrow final border. Front pat with three plume-holders, with inscriptions or decorations in gold, restored, later nose-piece, small medallion with a turquoise. The surface decorated with golden floral motifs, gilded border with vertical holes for a scabbard or a small turban, the horizontal ones host a mail neck-defense of small, simple rings (some part missing), with fringed border. height ca 57 cm.
