A RARE PAIR OF SAFAVID PAINTED AND GILT LACQUER WOOD DOORS, PERSIA, ISFAHAN, 17TH CENTURY
each door painted with a gold waive-like motif throughout, three panels, each featuring a medallion containing one or two figures in entratainment with arabesque details and borders, both with old collectors labels to reverse and hand-written numbers

Condition Report:
The wood with some wear and scratches, and small nicks throughout, few sections appeared to be later replacements with associated restorations, the cold paint is bright, some of the painted designs with rubbing and craquelure, two faces appear to have been deliberately erased, one face with associated retouching, the reverses with some old drill holes, one with hooked metal plaques, as viewed.
