A ROYAL VIENNA STYLE PARCEL GILT AND HAND PAINTED PORCELAIN LIDDED URN, "MARCHEN," MARKED, LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY, with a domed lid centering a tear form finial above pale blue and pink ground scalloped border with gilt paired "C" scrolls, over a flat rim and a tapering shaped ovoid body with sides centering a seated classical maiden reading to a girl infant and scantily attired putto, before a meandering stream and distant romantic forested landscape, signed lower right "F. Mahaupt," flanked by satyr's mask handles and set amidst delicate raised line gilt decoration with shaped pink ground trellis panels within conforming pale blue borders on a similarly detailed circular socle and square base, raised on a matching square form pedestal stand with sides centering a painted cartouche reserve depicting a boy and girl infant hiding beneath a long pale green cloak, within elegantly detailed floret trellis panels, gilt "C" scrolled rocaille, and acanthus stems suspending blossoming garland swags, verso inscribed "Marchen.," (fairy tales) and blue beehive mark, red handwritten "1304/1," over "Z FT."
