A RUSSIAN ICON OF MENAION FOR DECEMBER, 19TH CENTURY, painted in polychrome egg tempera colors on board and representing the various saints and feasts celebrated during the month of December. 12" x 10 1/2" Provenance: Estate of Robert William Guynn, Houston, Texas.
Condition Report: Some small spots of overpainting, craquelure, very small spots of paint loss scattered throughout, gilding wear, small scratches from use, surface wear, and buildup, board has a normal slight curve and has the two slats (shponki) on the reverse.
