An exceptionally rare example of a Bilston enamel patch box. The white-ground circular base is fluted with a band of raised flowers and leaves. The lid has a hand painted depiction of a happy couple one month before marriage. When turned 90 degrees the illstration shows the same couple snarling at one another - one month after marriage!
