A Rare Chinese Export Armorial Part Dinner Service
Qing Dynasty, Qianlong Period, circa 1795
清乾隆 約1795年 粉彩紋章圖餐具組

each piece painted in the center with the arms of Pole quartering Van Notten, impailing Buller, comprising an oval tureen and cover, a pair of square vegetable dishes and covers, two large oval platters, two circular strainers and three plates in graduating sizes. 13 pieces.
length of tureen 14 1/4 in.; 36.1 cm

Condition Report:
All pieces in overall good condition except: the tureen cover with two minor rim chips and three areas of flaking to the enamels on the rim. One square vegetable dish with a very minor old chip to the rim at one corner. One strainer with a rim chip and associated rim crack measuring approx. 2 3/8 in. (6 cm) in length at 4 o'clock. One plate with several areas of the rim ground down to conceal chips and frits, the other plate with a 5 by 1.5 in. section out at the rim and restored back with 3 staples, and several restored rim chips. The small plate with rim chips as well as ground down rim chips. All pieces with wear to the surface consistent to age and use, as well as minor firing imperfections.
