A Regency bronze mounted and brass inlaid mahogany cellarette
in the manner of Thomas Hope
early 19th century
The hinged coffer top above an inlaid brass and ebonized Vitruvian scroll frieze, opening to original lead lined divided well, above paw feet resting on plinths.

Condition Report: Very well made. Structurally sound. With a rich, nutty brown color to timber overall. Slight, even overall fading. General marks, nicks, scratches and wear commensurate with age and use. Some areas of minor infilled and overpainted restoration. With rubbing and oxidation to bronze mounts. No key.
