A Russian pre-Revolutionary gold, enamel coin brooch. The altered coin, depicting Catherine the Great in profile and script surround over a red enamel ground, with old-cut diamond border. Estimated total diamond weight 1.40cts. 56 zolotnik marks for between 1899 and 1908. Diameter 4.2cms. Weight 29gms.
Condition Report: Overall condition good. Surface scratches/wear and minor discolouration in keeping with general age and wear.
Diamonds well matched and bright.
Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

Enamel in good condition with minor pitting, small surface scratches and some verdigris towards the edges.
Unknow maker's mark possibly reads 'BK'.
