A SET OF EIGHT ITALIAN ROCOCO STYLE PAINTED AND CARVED WOOD DINING CHAIRS, LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY, each with a triple "C" scroll form crest rail surmounted by a stylized shell and foliate pendant above sinuous molded stiles tapering to a similarly modeled base rail, enclosing a reticulated splat of splayed bands centering double "C" scrolls, above a padded trapezoidal seat on a conforming serpentine seat rail with shell carved pendant flanked by cabriole legs with similarly detailed hips ending in scrolled toes, each gray painted with white highlights and upholstered in wheat-colored linen. Condition Report: Good restored condition, distressed finish of thickly applied paint with chipped surface edges in areas throughout, expected age cracks and repairs, modern upholstery, and sturdy frames.
