A SUPERB 1855 MODEL GENERAL'S SABRE
Beautiful, curved, single-and false-edged blade with large, central fuller that doubles toward the foible, in finest, Turkish damask, first part engraved and gilded with trophies and floral motifs, the base marked "real Turkish damask" and "Coupant le fer". Iron, mono-quillon hilt, finely chiselled with floral motifs, the cap with monogram "A" in gold. Ivory, checkered grip and in sectors. Iron scabbard with two suspension rings. Sword-knot in gilded thread.
