A Sèvres bleu lapis-ground two-handled toilet pot, cover and stand, circa 1756
Each with two reserves painted by Mutel in polychrome enamels with two birds each on the stand and pot, one holding a branch, and a single bird holding a branch on each cover panel, within gilt cartouches of reeds and flowers, gilt dentil borders to the rims, the scroll handles and branch finial embellished in gilding, the stand: 12.7cm across, interlaced LL monograms, four dots, date letter C and painter's mark in blue, incised 3 to saucer and indistinct marks to pot (BI?)
