A Tibetan wooden gilt and polychrome manuscript cover with two birds. 13/14th century

Front with a double main field, depicting in low relief two birds intertwining necks, with long tendril tails and a frame of further ornamental tendrils. Back plain. One short side carved in low relief depicting a kirtimukha head. Damage through fire.
Size: Length 68.8 cm
Condition: One corner missing, large fissure, burn marks, wear and patina.
