A VINTAGE FRENCH REVOLUTION ROSETTE FUR PIN, c.1940, Made by the Silson Company sponsored by the American Friends of France. The pin depicts a bow embossed with ‘Liberte, Egalite, Fraternite’ the French revolutionary motto translating to ‘Liberty, Equality, Brotherhood’. These fur clips were created and sold in part to raise funds for the French Freedom fighters during World War II.
