A Victorian amboyna, burr walnut, ebonised, and parcel gilt credenza, circa 1880, the panel doors with central gilt composition roundels with classical maiden's busts enclosing a shelf, flanked by fluted columns and glazed cupboard doors enclosing further velvet lined shelves, the rear with metal plaque DRUCE & CO., / UPHOLSTERERS / & CABINET MAKERS / BAKER STREET / LONDON W. / FROM / SECOND HAND DEPARTMENT 173cm wide, 101cm high, 42.5cm deep Condition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age and use,Chips, losses, and some replacements to some mouldings, there are four elements detached but present, two of these are for one of the pilaster capitals that can be seen as detached in the catalogue images - there is not all of it present however, the other two elements the cataloguer has not traced their origin, however they appear to be from this lot and are included. There is one vertical piece of timber missing to one side. The top is polished, possibly this has been restored, some of the ebonised and gilt areas appear to have been refreshedThere are old splits and cracks to the roundels to the front, The shelves with dirt and wear and some marks and tearing,Please refer to additional images for visual reference to condition Condition Report Disclaimer
