A Victorian spinel, pearl and diamond brooch.

The oval-shape red spinel within an openwork scroll surround with pearl and diamond highlights throughout, fitted pin and pendant fitting, pearls untested, length 3cm.
Condition Report: Weight approx. 4.1g. Overall good condition. Surface scratches, discolouration and dents in keeping with general age and wear. Spinel in good condition. Spinel with minor abrasions to facet edges visible under 10x loupe. Spinel with typical inclusions, good saturation and good clarity. Diamond bright and lively, fairly well matched. Pearls untested. Pearls with some wear. Fitted post worn through one pearl. Brooch pin possibly later added.
