A WILLIAM & MARY BURR ELM, WALNUT AND FEATHERBANDED SIDE TABLE CIRCA 1690 75cm high, 87cm wide, 56cm deep Provenance: Acquired from Priests Ltd, Stow Condition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use. Various old veneer and moulding repairs Some old chips and splits, some evidence of old worm. Handles and escutcheons are later replacements but are in period taste and suit the piece well No key present, lock is open The drawer linings with old paper stuck down and thin fillets of timber to the underside to help secure a join. The centre of the underside of the x frame stretcher with various old glued and screw repairs Some filler applied to the timber in places. Overall of pleasing colour and appearance.
