Raised on four bracket feet with a rectangular base with indented corners and fitted with a serpentine-shaped neck terminating in a heart-shaped support, all decorated in gold takamaki-e with stylized flowers, the base signed in gold lacquer Hobi saku (Made by Hobi); with a wood storage box. 61cm (24in) high.
