A choice Gandharan stucco head, c. 4th - 5th Century AD. This sculpture depicts a woman in beautiful detail, wavy coif held in place by a fancy headdress. Remnants of red and blue pigment typical of the Hadda types remain in the grooves. H: 3 1/2 in (8.9 cm). A lovely example. Mounted on stand. Ex Exotica Gallery, CA.
