A collection of five silver propelling pens and pencils, to include one by Sampson Mordan & Co and two by Yard-o-led, three with engine turned decoration

Condition Report:
Engine turned examples stamped Sterling silver - the clip off centre, the top of pen cracked and damaged. tarnished. It does rotate and works as a pencil. An engine turned example marked Yard-o-led & hallmarked- this is engraved with initials J.O.W.- top rotates and unscrews properly although cylindrical insert for lead which should be contained in screw top comes loose. Some tarnishing. An engine turned example also marked for Yard-o-Led, Sterling Silver, PAT No. 422767- top unscrews, clip loose, nib with small dent, dent towards bottom of shaft of pen, some tarnishing. Example marked Mordan & Co, engraved H.J.H./4th Nov 96, Some scratching to nib and the tube which holds the lead is slightly off centre, Not marked for silver. An example marked Wahleversharp, Sterling, top retracks although does not sit completely flush, tarnishing, small dent to lower part of pen shaft.
