A collection of typed working and rehearsal scripts for 1950s TV programme "Before Your Very Eyes" , some autographed in ballpoint by Arthur Askey, some with his working notes, corrections and uplifts in pencil or ballpoint, sketches including Helen & Paris, Lodger from Mars, Barrets of Wimpole Street etc., scripts from 1955 and 1956 (1 box - 11) Before Your Very Eyes was a BBC and later ITV sketch show which an for 31 episodes over 7 series between 1952 and 1958. Primary Cast being Arthur, Sabrina, Diana Decker and Dickie Henderson. Written by Sid Colin, Talbot Rothwell and David Climie. Original transmission 6th April 1952 - 15th April 1955 on BBC and 10th February 1956 - 5th May 1958 ITV.
