with a jade-embellished wood cover and a Japanese wood box dating to 1816
連 嵌青玉木蓋及日本木盒。日本木盒蓋書「文化十三年丙子三月上浣獲之」。文化十三年為日本江戶時期1816年。

Condition Report:
Jade plaque separated from the wood cover, with visible old adhesive residue. There is also an old crack (approx. 8cm) to the wood cover. Expected minor chips, nick and bruises to the inkstone, predominantly to the corners, largest approx. 1.6 cm. General wear.
