A fine Canaanite bronze duck bill axe head, Middle Bronze Age, Levant, c. 2000 - 1500 BC. The axe has two ovoid openings near the socket, sharing an appearance similar to a duck bill. L: 3 3/4 in (9.5 cm). Good mineral deposits. Mounted on custom stand. Ex John Schaeffer estate, FL.
