Late 19th-century red morocco, the flat spines decorated in gilt, marbled endpapers, gilt edges. Provenance: James TenBroeck Hillhouse (bookplate by Hopson, dated 1893).
First collected edition: an excellent set. The first work volume includes Colman’s most famous work ‘The Jealous Wife’ and a collaboration with David Garrick’s ‘The Clandestine Marriage’. ESTC t34936
