A gilt-mounted Nautilus cup, German ambit, 17th-18th century

of gilded metal, circular base with a double scroll stem on which a shell (Turbo Marmoratus) is mounted, not large in size, decorated with a border and openwork motifs with symmetrical scrolls.. The decorations are further embellished with small inserts and polychrome stones, including chrysoprase, garnet and glass pastes.
