Sturdy single-edged blade of grained wootz-Damascus steel with flower cartouches inlaid in gold on both sides. Characteristic iron knuckle-bow hilt profusely decorated with flower ornaments inlaid in gold. Wooden scabbard with cloth cover, two gilt suspension bars, and locket and chape with en suite gold inlays. Well-preserved gold inlays, original cloth cover. Wooden scabbard and cloth cover with traces of age and minor flaws and tears, respectively. Length 90 cm. Cf. Hermann Historica, auction 76, lot 2701, very similar tulwar, sold for €6,500.
