A huge strand of primarily Egyptian faience beads. The high quality Egyptian multi-colored faience disk beads are strung with several Egyptian faience amulets featuring standing deities, a faience plaque with black star pattern and long Egyptian faience tube beads. Also included on this strand is an assortment of Islamic stone and glass beads and other stone beads of varying periods. L: 48 in (121.6 cm). A nice mixed strand! Ex estate of Maria (Lila) Decatur Mayo Deyo Garnett, niece of Ruth Deyo; Ex collection of Ruth Deyo, acquired early-mid 1900's. Mrs. Deyo was a world-renowned musician and personality, well-known for her appreciation of Egyptian culture.
