A large Egyptian faience ushabti, Ptolemaic Period, c. 332 - 30 BC, on integral base, depicted mummiform, wearing tripartite wig and false beard, arms folded at chest and holding a pick and hoe; vertical plinth at back. Interesting Ptolemaic style mirrored on amulets of the same period. H: 6 7/9 in (17.5 cm). Nice blue-green and black glaze. Ex Shropshire, UK private collection.
