A large Greek black-glazed skyphos, Magnia Graecia

A large Greek black-glazed skyphos, Magnia Graecia, 4th Century BC, with ring foot and two characteristic horizontal handles, the surfaces are glossy with some reddening from the firing process. H: 3 4/5 in (9.7cm), W: 4 1/2 in (12cm). Light deposits. Ex UK private collection acquired from Herakles Numismatics and Antiquities, Munich in early 2000's; previously belonging to a German private collection formed in the 1970's.
