A large swatch of Egyptian 'mummy' linen, 3rd Intermediate Period c. 1075 - 664 BC, tan to brown color, with dark stains from the resins and oils used during the mummification practice. Nicely presented in a frame with custom information plaque. Swatch 4 1/4 x 2 3/4 in (11 x 7.3 cm). Frame measures 7 x 5 in (17.8 x 12.8 cm). Ex B.C. Antiques, Los Angeles.
