A late 19th century gold locket, containing a portrait miniature within an old-cut diamond, seed pearl and black and white enamel surround, with later chain.

Estimated total diamond weight 0.80ct, G-I colour, SI1-P1 clarity.
Length of pendant 6.5cms. Length of chain 42cms. 27.4gms.
With fitted case.

Condition Report:
- Slight scratches in keeping with wear.

- Slight, minor losses to the enamel.

- Diamonds appear bright and well matched.

- Seed pearls untested for natural origin.

- Seed pearls appear well matched with a pearly white hue, slight overtones. Slight variation in lustre.

- Pendant electronically tests as approximately 17.5ct gold.

- Chain electronically tests as approximately 15ct gold.

- Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.

- Fellows does not guarantee the standard of gold or platinum unless an item is hallmarked. Results from electronically tested items should only be used as a guide and with caution, as false readings are possible.
