A late 19th century silver and gold, amethyst and paste Kokoshnik tiara.Inner diameter 16.2cms. Height 3.9cms. 157gms.
Condition Report: Overall condition fair to good.
Two purple gems are paste replacements.
At least four colourless paste are replacements, slightly ill-fitting within the mounts.
Glue visible to replacement gems.
Amethyst are a pale through deep slightly pinkish purple, with noticeable differences in saturation.
Eight amethyst noticeably chipped.
Four paste deficient, one cavity filled with glue.
Few paste to surround abraded.
Width 3.9 to 1.6cms.
