A late Victorian 15ct gold ruby and diamond brooch, together with an early 20th century gold split pearl stickpin.Estimated total diamond weight 0.10ct, H-I colour, SI1-P1 clarity.Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1900.Length of stickpin head 1cm. Length of brooch 5cms. Total weight 6.1gms. Dimensions: Condition Report: Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear. Diamonds well matched. Diamonds bright.

Ruby is a medium vivid red hue, well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions. Stickpin electronically tests as 9ct gold. Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.
