A late Victorian gold memorial swivel brooch, the urn and weeping willow hairwork panel, with black enamel foliate surround and photographic locket reverse.Length 7cms. 43.4gms.
Condition Report: Scratches and small marks. Small dent to reverse of the surround. General discolourations.Central panel rotates freely.Base metal pin.Enamel with small losses and chips, mostly deficient to some of the leaves.Photograph has been slightly tinted, generally cracked/crazed.Electronically tests as approximately 9ct gold.Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns. Fellows does not guarantee the standard of gold or platinum unless an item is hallmarked.
