A mid 19th century 18ct gold aquamarine and garnet brooch.Principal aquamarine calculated weight 5.93cts, based on estimated dimensions of 16 by 11 by 5.9mms. Length 6.6cms. 13.4gms.
Condition Report: Overall condition fair to good.
One of the scrolling sections is broken to the bottom right side.
Evidence of possible minor repair work/ alterations.
Aquamarines are a medium slightly greenish blue hue, fairly well saturated, with typical inclusions.
Aquamarines with some abrasions and small nicks to facet edges.
Garnets are a deep, slightly reddish purple hue, well saturated, with good clarity.
Garnets in good condition.
