A mid 19th century French gilt silver tea cutlery, comprising 12 tea spoons, tea strainer, sugar tongs and spoon, in belonging black wooden box with brass string listing and plaque, engraved with the crowned monogram of Napoleon III. Enclosed letter from the Cabinet de l'Empererur, direction des Dons et Secours, signed by M. peupin and dated the 1st April 1858 for the major of Givors. Box H. 4. L. 28. W. 19 cm.
Condition Report:
Marks and scratches to the box, the lid warped, minor veneer damage at the side, missing key hole plate. Wear due to age and use.
