A mid 20th century platinum Madagascan sapphire and diamond geometric dress ring, with replacement band. With report from GCS, stating Madagascar, no heat.Sapphire calculated weight 2.31cts, based on estimated dimensions of 10 by 6.9 by 4mms. Estimated total diamond weight 0.75ct, predominantly G-H colour, VS clarity.
Condition Report: Overall condition good.
Replacement band, tests as approximately 18ct gold.

One diamond with a moderate, shallow chip to one side of the crown.
Sapphire is a deep, medium violet blue hue, fairly well saturated, with good clarity and some typical inclusions. Moderate windowing effect.
Sapphire in good condition.
Width (at widest) 1.3cms.
