The arched toprail inlaid with central shou character and birds, bats and deer amidst rocks and pine trees, above a 'cheval-style' rectangular glazed panel held by turned horn pegs and containing a finely embroidered scene of a pair of peacocks perched on rockwork, herons below and pheasants, jays, egrets and a hawk above and around flowering tree peony, the panel surround inlaid with the eight immortals, the eight Buddhist emblems, precious objects and bats, the turned side supports raised on ball and claw feet supporting a base section with panel inlaid with scholars in landscape and splayed apron with inlays of a bat amidst fruiting peaches.
