A nest of three William IV rosewood occasional tables by William Constantine and Co.
The rectangular tops on shaped stile end supports joined by wavy stretchers, on short outswept scroll feet, the smallest table with a label for W. Constantine & Co, Leeds, the largest table 58cm wide, 35cm deep, 75cm high.

Christie’s South Kensington, 10 December 2013, lot 303.

William Constantine & Co. are listed in G.Beard & C.Gilbert, Dictionary of English Furniture 1660-1840, p.192 as cabinet and upholsterers working at 3 South Parade, Leeds, 1834-40. By the early 1840's the firm was employing about a hundred workers including fifteen carvers.
