A nice Egyptian wood figure of man, Middle Kingdom
A nice Egyptian wood figure of man, Middle Kingdom, c. 2061 - 1690 BC, striding with left leg forward and hands at sides, he wears a short kilt and a short wig. The facial features are present as are remnants of pigment, especially the black on the wig. H: 8 1/8 in (20.6 cm). Light weathering, on old wood base. Ex New Jersey estate.
