A pair of Egyptian faience bead necklaces, Late Period

A pair of Egyptian faience bead necklaces, Late Period, c. 664 - 30 BC, the first with a heavy Roman green glass bead as a pendant and comprised of heavy faience tubular beads in shades of blue interspersed with faience disc beads which are primarily an off-white, L: 30 in (76 cm). The second necklace consisting of light blue faience tube beads strung with tiny octagonal antique near colorless glass beads, L: 28 in (71.1 cm). Ex estate of Maria (Lila) Decatur Mayo Deyo Garnett, niece of Ruth Deyo; Ex collection of Ruth Deyo, acquired early-mid 1900's. Mrs. Deyo was a world-renowned musician and personality, well-known for her appreciation of Egyptian culture.
