A pair of French gilt and patinated metal candlestick table lamps in Louis Philippe taste, later 19th century and adapted for electricity, the reeded columnar stems descending to triform lion paw bases, lead-weighted, approximately 37cm high including fitments and excluding pleated silk shadesCondition Report: Usual minor marks, knocks and scuffs overall consistent with age and use.recently refitted, though any electrical items should be tested by a certified electrician prior to use.One or two minor knocks to the bases as well as two or three short casting inconsistencies in the crevices of the paws.The gilding and lacquer are still fairly consistent and in the case of the gilding quite bright overall.The shades have one or two minor marks to the edges, and one of the pleats has come apart and could be quite easily repaired with a stitch.
