A pair of George V silver swing-handle dishes, with pierced stylised foliate pattern to the sides, twisted decorative handles and clear glass liners, the whole raised upon four shell feet with hoof supports. Hallmarked Chester 1915, maker's mark worn. Rim diameter 4.75" (12cm), weight excluding glass liners 7.70 ozt (239.6 grams).
Condition Report:
- Both dishes are heavily tarnished in some areas and would benefit from a clean and polish.
- Both displaying some general surface wear, scratches and marks to the whole, commensurate with age and use.
- Some residues of polish marks around the feet.
- One hinged handle can self-support, the other does not stay upright. Possible repair around join of hinges on this one.
