A pair of Italian turned and carved alabaster vases, late 19th century, the flared necks and twin handles carved with foliage and fruiting vine, on waisted circular socles, above stepped square section bases, 49cm high, the bases 16cm square

Condition Report:
The vases bear the marks, knocks, scuffs and scratches overall consistent with age and use. One of the vases has separated from its square plinth, which is sold with the lot. This will need restoration. There are traces of adhesive residue between the foliate rim and the neck of this vase, indicating a previous restoration. The other vase has been variously restored to the handles and rim.
