oval bellied form, foliate scroll handles and borders, engraved with the regimental badge, domed covers with foliate handles, on four scroll capped scroll feet, length handle to handle 39.5cm. (2)
Provenance: a Private Collection of Regimental Silver.
They were originally raised in 1763 as the Northampton Militia. In 1860 they amalgamated with the Rutland Militia, and in 1881 they became the 3rd Battalion The Northamptonshire Regiment. They disbanded in 1953.
