A pair of blue-green Late Roman glass vessels, c. 5th - 6th Century AD, the first a thick-walled bottled with near cylindrical body, narrow neck and flared mouth. H: 4 1/5 in (10.6cm). The second a jar with melon-shaped body showing vertical ribbing, indented base and flared mouth. H: 3 1/8 in (7.8cm). Both with much repair and restoration around the body or shoulders. Ex New York private estate.
