A pair of gilt metal three light girandoles in Rococo Revival style, 20th century, the scrolled and foliate cast arms issuing from conforming openwork backplates cast with female masks and flowerheads, the plates bevelled, each 38cm high, 30cm wide overall, together with a Victorian brass standard lamp, of scrolling form, 145cms high. Condition Report:
Standard lamp:
With marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age and use, the lacquer to the brass is worn in places, some surface discolouration and polish deposits,
Converted from an oil lamp to electricity, converted elements and adaptions as to be expected,
The girondoles:
The surfaces dirty and discoloured they appear to have been bronzed in the past, there are wax deposits to the sconce arms, the plates held in place with later wires. the plates appear intact but one showing losses to silvering
