A pair of long bone-inlaid wheellock pistols, Teschen, circa 1630
Description: Octagonal, after chiselled section round barrels with smooth bore in calibre 12.5 mm. Smooth wheellocks with external wheel, spring-loaded pan cover and slightly domed lockplate. The walnut stocks inlaid all-over with engraved and blackened bone in the form of fruit bundles, animals, hunting scenes and scrolling leaves, either pistol with bone nose. Trigger guard, pommel caps and ramrod holders made of iron, the original wooden ramrods with engraved bone tips. Good condition, however one pistol with two small inlay losses. Length of either pistol 58.5 cm.
