A prasiolite and diamond jewellery set, to include a pair of earrings and a pendant, suspended from a curb-link chain. One prasiolite AF. Estimated total diamond weight 1.80cts, predominantly H-J colour, SI clarity. Chain with hallmarks for Sheffield. Length of pendant 6.2cms. Length of chain 42cms. Length of earrings 6cms. Total weight 29.3gms.
Condition Report:
- Overall condition fair. Surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and dents in keeping with general age and wear.
- One prasioite is significantly chipped leaving a sizeable fracture to the terminal.
- Approximate dimensions of largest prasiolite 20 by 13 by 10.2mms.
- Prasiolites are replacements, with glue residue visible.
- Evidence of several alterations / adaptations, soft solder visible to surmounts and earring posts, the posts are screw back and fairly thick 1.5mms.
- Diamonds fairly well matched, two appear very slightly pinkish hues in setting.
- Diamonds bright and fairly lively, some with slightly dark inclusions, few with minor nicks to facets.
- Prasiolite are well matched, medium slightly brownish-green hues, well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions.
- Prasiolite are in good to fair condition in the earrings with small abrasions to a few facets.
- Prasiolite is in a poor condition in the pendant, with significant abrasions, chips and nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.
