- S. Marchant and Son, London, included in their November 2004 exhibition of 'Ming Blue and White: Jiajing-Chongzhen including dated examples', and published in the accompanying catalogue, pp. 10-11, no. 7. Also illustrated in their 2025 publication 'One Hundred Years', vol. II, p. 94, no. 1146.

The compressed globular jar finely painted in cobalt blue with a continuous narrative scene depicting four standing officials engaged in discussion within a fenced garden landscape. To one side, a canopied carriage with horse stands beside two attendants or guards carrying spears, while a further attendant appears beneath pine trees and amongst scholar's rocks. The scene is divided by a moon-gate set amongst jagged rockwork and scrolling clouds. The shoulder encircled by a band of stylised lappets and floral motifs.
